Marie Laurencin at L’Orangerie

Women and Dog by Marie Laurencin, in the L’Orangerie

She was one of the few female Cubist painters and she is known for having created a language of femininity to contrast with the often aggressively masculine paintings of the Cubist movement. I was drawn to the painting for its colors and the very modern feel of the painting. This, as well as a few of her others, made me think of certain mangaka.
